Korea to hold an 'Summoners War' e-sports match in Stockholm, President Moon attends the event

On June 14, S. Korea President Moon and representatives of the gaming industry watch e-sports and listen to industry issues in Stockholm, Sweden.

NCsoft CEO Kim Taek-jin, Netmarble Chairman Bang Joon-hyuk, Nexon Korea CEO Lee Jung-hun, Com2us CEO Song Byung-joon and Kang Shin-chul, president of the Korea Game Industry Association attend at the event.

Com2us "Summoners War" takes part in the Korean-Swedish e-Sports A-match at the Ericsson Studio in Stockholm, Sweden, representing the Korean game.

The event is held to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Sweden, the first friendly exchange between South Korea, the e-sports host, and Sweden, a game industry powerhouse. On behalf of the two countries, pre-selected players compete in the games.

Global e-sports event 'Summoners War' World Arena Championship (SWC) 2018 Final 

South Korea's national athletes include developers of "Summoners War" and world champions of last year's "Summoners War" global e-sports competition. Korean-born Swedish users who use nicknames "Haengbok" and top Summoners War Swedish lankers participates in the competition.

The event will be held on June 14 at 10:30 p.m. (Korea Time) through a one-on-one match between the national players. It will be broadcast live on online channels such as SPOTV Games YouTube, Twitch and Naver TV.

Industry sources say President Moon's visit to e-sports is significant. In particular, "Summoners War: Sky Arena," a game event to be seen by President Moon, is enjoying a long-term success in the global market. Some expect that it will play a positive role in the government's e-sports promotion policy.
