Chicken brand KFC will sell "chicken skin fries" on a limited basis from June 19. The upcoming launch was originally sold at some KFC stores in Jakarta, Indonesia, and has become a hot topic through SNS, and the sale has been confirmed due to a sudden surge in consumer requests while discussing the launch in Korea.
The "chicken skin fries" are fried chicken skin only, and the recipe that used to be sold in Jakarta has been modified to suit the taste of Koreans. The KFC boasts of a chewy texture, though it's a bittersweet, a KFC official said.
"With the high interest and support of consumers, we will first introduce 'chicken skin fries' at some stores," he added.
