KT (Chairman Hwang Chang-gyu) announced that it will launch "PC Safety 2.0" service on July 15, which allows users to secure and manage PCs and smartphones at the same time.

PC Safety is an Internet add-on service that provides various functions related to PC security such as virus checking, virus treatment, encrypting important files, automatic backup, privacy and phishing double blocking.

It provides expert counseling services remotely along with additional features such as security of subscribers' smartphones, photo safety storage for management and external virus prevention.

"PC Safety" has strengthened its functions for protecting personal information from outside sources such as detecting and blocking Ransomware, preventing illegal mining of virtual currency, and blocking malicious code distribution sites for existing PC safety service functions.  It also supports improving the speed of the Internet through initializing and optimizing the Internet environment and removes unnecessary advertising windows.

Along with the mobile vaccine, PC Safety also automatically backs up photos and video files and allows safe storage. Older users can use the optimal teleconference service to prevent security issues in advance without the help of their children.

"PC Safety 2.0 is a service that customers really need these days as privacy is becoming more important," said Kim Won-kyung, executive director of KT GiGA Business Headquarters.
