Microsoft Korea signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lotte Hi-Mart on July 12 to establish the "Clean Software." The signing ceremony was held at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, with six people attending, including Microsoft Korea President Ko Soon-dong and Lotte Hi-Mart CEO Lee Dong-woo.
Following last December, Lotte Hi-Mart plans to take the lead in establishing a genuine software consumer culture by renewing its contract to operate a genuine MS Office linked model.
Under the previous contract, Microsoft Korea has been carrying out a campaign to encourage the use of genuine software with Lotte Hi-Mart since Jan. 1 this year.
Since January this year, 460 Lotte Hi-Mart stores nationwide have been providing regular training to sales counselors specializing in PCs. Its main purpose is to alert people about the need to use genuine software, such as how to effectively utilize genuine software and deal with problems that may arise when using illegal software.
It also encouraged customers to buy by attaching a production that encourages the use of genuine software in stores. It displayed POPs at PC Connor and sold PC products and 'Office H&S 2019' in a bundle. The PC sales counselor continued the campaign's purpose by encouraging simultaneous purchase of PCs and genuine offices.
"The signing ceremony is meaningful as Lotte Hi-Mart can take the lead in establishing an authentic software usage culture with Microsoft Korea," said CEO.
