Qualcomm Incorporated hosted the 17th Qualcomm IT Tour, which invites 20 brilliant science and engineering college students and graduate students in Korea to Qualcomm's U.S. headquarters.

Qualcomm Incorporated hosted the 17th Qualcomm IT Tour, which invites 20 brilliant science and engineering college students and graduate students in Korea to Qualcomm's U.S. headquarters, a company spokesman said on July 18.

Qualcomm's IT tour, which marks its 17th anniversary this year, is well received as it is designed to introduce Korea's science and engineering students to the rapidly changing state-of-the-art wireless communications technology and provides them with a chance to visit and experience the headquarters of a global IT leading company.

Students on the IT tour had time to listen to explanations from engineers in charge of each department about Qualcomm's various advanced mobile and wireless communications technologies and experience them in person, the spokesman said.

All participants of the Qualcomm's IT tour were given a chance to meet Jim Cathey, president of Qualcomm's global business, in person and announce innovative solutions and innovative ideas on 5G application cases.

In addition, the mentoring session with Korean engineers working at Qualcomm's headquarters was given to them, enabling to listen to vivid experiences and advice on cutting-edge IT company sites. It also provided them with career counseling, job preparation and customized information needed for their careers.

"Qualcomm is dedicated to discovering and nurturing future talent that will advance and lead next-generation wireless technology, as it is a company of innovative inventors who have made 5G today," said President Cathy, adding, "The Qualcomm IT tour program helps participating students experience the rapid development and possibilities of telecommunications technology and discover new opportunities for the future."
