Global Times, China

Lately some foreign diplomats have complained that China is too arrogant. They feel China's attitude has changed.  Before, China was kind and friendly, but now they can't even meet Chinese officials. Is it true Is China acting big for its boots these days

One business man in Beijing said, "the global financial crisis broke the standard of the American model. It is not good for China either. China lost its way.  Before the crisis, we believed the American dream - freedom, open society and economic growth.  But the American model ran into a storm and China didn't. It proves not only that China is a powerful nation, but also that China has to set its own goals."

China is not arrogant but depressed, because it is facing challenges too. It has not drafted a blueprint for its future yet, that's why Beijing showed an indecisive attitude to prolilferation of nuclear weapons and the issues of North Korea. China is at a crossroads.  Is Being a rival against the U.S. or a friend What kind of world does China want to build It is worth paying attention.
