Humble manufacturers of CNC machines, Fawoo Technology began their journey of leading Korea and even parts of the world into the future by changing the game with flat Lumisheet panel LED (Light Emitting Diode) that was patented four years ago. Fawoo technology's Lumisheet solves the problem of LED being too directional, in terms of light flow. The Lumisheet innovation is crafted with a CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machine methodology that evenly disperses light across a flat panel and reduces glare as a consequence. In an office environment, the glare reduction consideration is no mere design after thought as potential for employee claims due to poor conditions mount in many countries as do energy costs. In fact, Fawoo announced to Korea IT Times that they are talking with a Swiss based bank with a headquarters in New York about energy efficiency in their offices. This potential partner has begun testing Fawoo's flat panels in a pilot refurbishment project in their Manhattan office and the feedback has been positive. Fawoo hope to be able to announce a successful outcome of the pilot project very soon. Fawoo Technology's R & D (research and development) department includes more than 20 researchers devoted to product and application development.
This year Fawoo's zeal for lighting our way into the future lead them to be part of the E2 booth at the ENVEX (32nd International Exhibition on Environmental Technology and Green Energy)at coex until 12 June 2010. The booth is a smarthome concept booth comprising members of the Energy and Environment Committee. This year the booth features plaster materials from Lafarge, heat windows from Jung air and Schneider Electric, innovators of electrical infrastructure.
The chief advisor to the Fawoo Technology CEO, Jung-tae, Lee is very enthusiastic about the transformation of the lighting sector and said that, "the market is trickling down from policy at the moment and is a project based business for specific clients because of the price of LED chips." But it is coming, the goal of most Green Tech innovations, as you would both assume and hope it to be so, is viability in the marketplace and LED home lighting that is cost effective is most certainly on the Fawoo research agenda.

Fawoo, as leaders in the industry had some advice for component and material manufacturers as well as smaller market players, "the incentives for purchasing are extant in some countries where rebates are in place for 'Green Building' and companies do well to serve those markets whilst continually innovating so as to make the technologies and materials more widely available." Soon we can say that the future is here.
