KOMIPO recently held an emergency meeting of partner companies following the Japanese regulations on exports to Korea and organized a "K-Jangbogo Project" market exploration team to find a breakthrough in the economic downturn and dispatched them to Vietnam and Indonesia from August 21-29.

Korea Midland Power Co. (KOMIPO) said it recently held an emergency meeting of partner companies following the Japanese regulations on exports to Korea and organized a "K-Jangbogo Project" market exploration team to find a breakthrough in the economic downturn and dispatched them to Vietnam and Indonesia from August 21-29.

A total of 18 companies were selected from among the companies participating in the joint R&D project with KOMIPO, and nine of them are small and medium-sized companies whose products were designated as development selection goods.

Taking advantage of the fact that KOMIPO boasts of its top-tier brand power in power generation in Vietnam and Indonesia, which have unlimited potential for growth, they developed the joint brand of KOMIPO and partner companies, called "KOMIPO-EPA (Export Partners Association)" and manufactured a English guidebook introducing superior products of 60 partner companies and distributed them to local buyers in advance.

In addition to the export road show for local buyers, the market exploration team visited Vietnam's "Quang Ninh" coal thermal power plant with capacity of 1,200MW and  4,025MW Suralaya coal thermal power plant by using overseas networks of KOMIPO to promote differentiated purchase counseling for small and medium-sized companies.

In addition, the opening ceremony for the Export Support Center and the Overseas Trade Corporation (Chung Hae-jin No. 1 store) were also carried out in order to prepare the export bridge for small and medium-sized enterprises to Indonesia.

"We will continue to provide unsparing support to small and medium-sized companies to strengthen their export capabilities and secure core technology capabilities such as overseas branching, global testbeds and export voucher businesses by cooperating with specialized agencies," said Kim Ho-bin, head of the KOMIPO technology division.
