KM Pharmaceutical said on Sept. 20 that it has won the presidential citation at a ceremony marking the "2019 Industrial Complex Day" organized by the Korea Industrial Complex Corp.
At the ceremony, held as part of the government’s efforts to jump up to become a manufacturing powerhouse, government rewards were given to the meritorious people who played a pivotal role in the national economy and contributed to the development of industrial complexes.
The government award were given to those who have merit in manufacturing innovation, investment expansion and job creation in industrial complexes, and two people won the presidential award.
Kang Il-mo, CEO of KM Pharmaceutical, was chosen as the winner for his efforts to secure new growth engines through continuous promotion of investment, and for his contribution to boosting the vitality of industrial complexes and spreading innovation.
"This award will be a good opportunity for workers and entrepreneurs of companies operating in industrial complexes, including our company, to feel proud," Kang said, adding, "We will make every effort to secure infrastructure so that KM Pharmaceutical can stand as the leading company in manufacturing innovation."
