S-OIL, led by CEO Hussain Al-Qahtani, delivered 100 million won in donations to the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross on Oct. 8 to help families in crisis and vulnerable people in need of urgent assistance.
Since 2017, S-OIL has been delivering donations to the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross every year to stabilize the livelihood of the elderly, multicultural families and children/adolescents by supporting the independence of endangered families that need urgent support due to death and illness.
"We hope that our neighbors in need will not lose their dreams and hopes," said Sun Jin-young, head of S-OIL. "As a corporate citizen, we will continue to make efforts to strengthen the social safety net for the underprivileged."
In addition, S-OIL runs an alienated care program that sponsors neighbors in need of help, such as delivering scholarships to help young children from childcare centers to concentrate on their studies in a stable manner or conducting support activities for children suffering from rare incurable diseases, a company spokesman said.
