Asiana Airlines will launch a new flight service to Vietnam's Natrang, dubbed "Napoli of the East," on a seven-week schedule.
Asiana Airlines held a ceremony to launch the Incheon-Natrang route at the Incheon International Airport's first passenger terminal on Dec. 16, attended by Kim Young-heon, executive director of the cabin headquarters, Jang Young-il, executive director of the maintenance division, Ahn Byung-seok, executive director of the management support division, and Lee Myung-kyu, executive director of the operation headquarters. Local officials also held a welcoming ceremony after the arrival of Flight OZ773.
The schedule for the service on the Natrang route, which is to be launched this time, varies from 19:55 to 20:20 in Incheon, and leaves at 00:30 every day in Natrang. Asiana will deploy the 159-seat A320 aircraft that won the "best operating reliability" award in 2019 on the route.
Natrang boasts better weather to travel all year round because of its shorter rainy season than other cities in Vietnam. It is especially loved by travelers around the world for its leisure and sightseeing at once due to its affordable commodity prices.
Vietnam is a rising "hot" destination among South Korean travelers, with the number of South Korean visitors rising about 22 percent in the first half of this year from a year earlier.
Asiana Airlines has expanded its Incheon-Hanoi and Incheon-Danang routes once more every day this year, and the Incheon-Natrang route is Asiana`s fifth Vietnamese route, following Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang and Phu Quoc.
