Smooth start for Galaxy S. Galaxy S is about to make a sales record. When it first came out on June 24, 10.4 thousand phones were sold, the next day, the sales almost doubled and reached 23.8 thousand and on its third day of release, the sales number was 24.4 thousand. Therefore just for 3 days, about 58.6 thousand in total were sold. It sure is a surprising record but it is kind of a predictable plot when the pre-order booking was already 3 hundred thousand.

If the sales goes on at this rate, it is likely to be a million-selling phone in a short period of time. While a quantity of shortages are expected for a while, Samsung Electronics plans to allocate to domestic consumers first.

Last year, imported mobile phones by KT, iPhone 3G sold about 13 thousand each day and it was the highest record of sales in the domestic mobile market.
