It is shocking to find that an employee of Pulmuone Waters, a joint venture between Nestle Waters and Pulmuone, have been pulling all sorts of their big power trip on their partners.
In particular, customers are moving to boycott Pulmuone as it has been caught in circumstances where he has even received money for overseas sex trade.
According to a JTBC report on Jan. 29, a person in charge of the spring water sent a text message, asking an executive of a company that carries bottled water to inform him of his overseas travel schedule and ask him to find out the cost of entertainment, and a message suggesting prostitution.
The business partner argued that they reluctantly introduced a local guide and paid millions of won for the drinks and prostitution.
In addition, a Pulmuone Waters official was found to have frequently asked his partner for money and pocketed family travel, vacation and lodging expenses.
An official of the partner company claimed that unless the demand is met, the harassment activity will begin or other carriers will be sought.
Someone argued that a person in charge of the Pulmuone Waters passed the monthly rent of a warehouse. He also argued that Pulmuone Waters excluded the operation of warehouses that the partner had been in charge for years after it raised objections along with unfair competition in the bidding process.
The partner company, which claims to have been damaged, reportedly plans to proceed with a compensation suit against Pulmuone Waters along with a criminal complaint. Meanwhile, hundreds of comments criticizing the company were listed, including a plan to boycott Pulmuone goods when the report was published.
In response, Pulmuone told a media outlet on Jan. 30 that Nestle Waters took over 51 percent of its shares in 2004 and had the right to operate, but that the employee in question was suspended last year.
