Samsung Electronics donated 1 million Australian dollars (about 800 million won) to support the Australian community, which was hit hard by the forest fires.
The donation will be delivered to a fire station in the State of New South Wales for restoring the forest fire-stricken area and helping the victims.
Samsung Electronics plans to continue to seek ways to contribute to Australia, which suffered natural disasters from climate and environmental changes, by utilizing its products and technologies.
In the event of a massive natural disaster at home and abroad, Samsung Electronics has been actively supporting the recovery of damages, including cash donations, offering of home appliances and relief goods.
