Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) and the Ministry of Environment launched green product information system (http://www.greenproduct.go.kr), which provides information on green products. The system, for the moment, means that non korean speakers need to ask a Korean friend to navigate it.
In an attempt to encourage green life, the system introduces green value and offers information on various green products. In particular, it shows that using green products leads to reduction of hazardous materials including greenhouse gas and wastes so that the public recognize the benefit of green products. The website uses a number of external measurement and award systems to evaluate products.
In addition, it includes the performance and statistics by public organizations on purchasing green products. Also, green product users can share their opinion on using green products.
An official from KEITI said the institute will actively promote the website so that it can significantly contribute to inducing green life.
