The signing ceremony was held at the Korean Air Aviation Technology Research Institute in Daejeon between Lee Soo-keun, vice president of Korean Air's technology division, and Han Sung-wook, president of Kyungwoon University.

Through the agreement, Korean Air agreed with Kyungwoon University to cooperate in developing research and development, promoting the aviation industry, fostering aviation personnel and transferring recycled equipment for educational purposes, and using the "environmental control facility for testing performance of unmanned aerial vehicles, developing curricula, and supporting education.

They also signed a service contract to conduct a wind tunnel test and performance test at a drone-only testing facility at Kyungwoon University.

The hybrid drone, developed by Korean Air, is equipped with a hybrid engine that combines internal combustion engines and batteries, significantly expanding the operation time of conventional battery-type drones to two hours.

It also improved the manual remote control operation of existing drones to enable automatic flight, allowing them to perform missions in various areas.

Following the signing of the "Drone Industry and Air Force Promotion Mutual Cooperation" with Silla University in February last year, Korean Air has been working with Kyungwoon University to foster professional manpower and support technology development and co-prosperity and cooperation with local aviation universities.
