KB Kookmin Bank said on May 11 that it has implemented automation of its work through "Robotic Process Automation" (RPA) in 183 businesses in the bank to improve work efficiency and focus on core business.
Converting 183 automated tasks into annual working hours will reduce the total by 1.25 million hours. This means that the robot software automates simple repetitive tasks that involve more than 600 employees, assuming an average of 2,000 hours of annual working hours per employee.
About 470,000 hours will be reduced for the headquarters department and 780,000 hours for the branches. Headquarters staff will focus more on core tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.
Sales outlets are expected to be able to provide quality service during customer consultations as simple working hours are saved.
It has also combined artificial intelligence technology. With Machine Learning technology, the "RPA task of registering a pay transfer" can automatically edit and register the various forms of pay transfer forms provided by the customer for the internal systems. Employees only perform content verification and final transfer transactions.
"Kookmin Bank will improve quality productivity by increasing work efficiency through RPA," said an official from KB Kookmin Bank "Through this, we will provide high-quality services to customers."
