Shinhan Bank has launched "Shinhan SOL India," a new digital banking platform at Shinhan Bank's Indian headquarters, a bank spokesman said on May 21.
"Shinhan SOL India" was developed as a customized financial app through localization to provide the best service experience to local customers in consideration of India's cultural and mobile environment rich in diversity, potential and dynamics.
It is the first Korean bank in India to introduce a mobile banking service that allows mobile OTP to be used in financial apps, replacing existing security cards and applying a real-time immediate payment service that allows real-time fund transfers.
For the convenience of users, it also provides post-transfer notification function, simple remittance to their favorite accounts, saving and sharing E-statement, and paying more than 140 utility bills in India, including mobile phones, Internet bills, and electricity bills.
"We will make efforts to provide the best financial services to our customers with the launch of 'Shinhan SOL India' in the face of the growing preference for untact due to the COVID-19," said an official at Shinhan Bank's India headquarters.
"We will provide new non-face-to-face customers and new financial products through the E-KYC (uncontact real-name verification) system that the Indian government is promoting in the future."
