Blackberry Bold
It is not too much to say that RIM (Research In Motion) is considered one of the leaders of the smartphone market worldwide. One of their smartphones, the Blackberry, is known as President Obama's phone. However, we all know that there is no permanent champion.

Blackberry users probably sneak a look at other phones such as iPhone and Android phones. Those phones have various fun and useful applications while Blackberry is in limelight only for its fast email function.

According to Gartnet, RIM's market share fell to 41 percent in the first quarter from 55 percent a year ago. At the same time, iPhone and Android increased to 49 percent from 23 percent.

As the importance of software for smartphones is growing, it seems like users will look for iPhone and Android operating system phones which have a lot more to enjoy than just emailing.

Meanwhile, RIM doesn't stand idle in regards to this situation. The company is preparing a new operating system to get the regain their title atop the smartphone market. They will need to hurry before other smartphones appear in the market and claim that title.
