Doosan Robotics has signed a contract with a Chinese company specializing in automation to become a distributor of cooperative robots in the local market.
Doosan Robotics made an announcement that it signed a contract with Guangdong Songgyong Intelligence Science Technology Corp. (Song Ching) to supply cooperative robots in China at “Dungguan 3C, Smart Manufacturing Conference of Electronics Industries” held in Dongguan, China on Dec. 14.
Under the deal, Doosan Robotics plans to focus on Huanan areas where China's 3C industry is the most densely populated and demand for cooperative robots is high.
Song Ching, who signed an agency contract with Doosan Robotics this time, specializes in automated solutions with a solid sales force for cooperative robots and a rich customer network, with global companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Foxconn, P&G and Maddy as its major clients.
"We are planning to further strengthen our position in China based on new products and active marketing in China. We will actively target the Chinese cooperative robot market by adding Doosan's outstanding technology and know-how to Song Ching’s sales network and system integration," said CEO Lee Byung-seo of Doosan Robotics.
Doosan Robotics, which started mass-producing cooperative robots last year, is quickly securing sales networks in major markets such as Japan, the United States and Europe as well as China.
