E-Mart24 announced on March 4 that it will export 15 kinds of I'm e products to Australia and Hong Kong. Starting with this, the company plans to expand its export sales to Southeast Asia and other countries.
The products exported to Australia will be sold at a total of 14 types, including 13 types of snacks and one type of toilet paper for people's livelihood. Some 20,000 products will be sold in supermarkets for Korean residents in Sydney and Asian supermarkets for Chinese and Vietnamese tourists.
In Hong Kong, 7,200 toilet paper tissues for people's livelihood will be sold at JHC, a Hong Kong household goods chain. This is the first time for the retailer to sell its own Korean convenience store brand at the retail shops.
"This export will be an opportunity for our company to promote the excellent quality of E-Mart24 to foreign countries," said Baek Ji-ho, executive director of E-Mart24, adding that the company plans to expand its export channels to Australia, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia with a goal of 5 billion won in total this year.
Meanwhile, E-Mart24 exported 4,000 hangover ice creams, a self-developed product, to Vladivostok, Russia in July 2016.
